Examples of What NOT to do in PowerPoint

AVOID ANIMATED TEXT  Do not animate text  Fly in’s  Pulsing  Spinning text  It is just not professional! Don’t do it.

THEME DESIGN  This is not a good choice for theme design Fun, but not very professional.  This is hard to read. Wouldn’t you agree?  This is easy to read

This is hard to read enough said

TOO MANY FONTS  Using BOLD for an entire sentence is not a good idea.  Too many fonts on this slide  Do not exceed 2 font choices but choose wisely.  Make sure the font you choose is legible  Too many fonts, this one is pretty but hard to read.

HELLO! Are you awake now? This text does not have enough contrast to be seen well. Plus this loud yellow background is enough to make you gag.

Avoid Clip Art! Use images instead Be sure to cite your images or use copyright free, or creative commons images. These images were found right in the Microsoft photo gallery.

Check Grammar and Spelling! Nothing makes you look more uncredibale than having errers in yer persentation. It can be downwrite embarassing! Yes the spelling errors in this slide were intentional for the sake of feeling uncomfortable and hope that this won’t happen to you!

I think you will agree that this slide has way too much text and it is hard to read. It is hard to read because of the amount of text, and poor contrast with the background.

Too much information! Too many bullets!
