Parent Value As a parent of a sophomore, my son takes 4 classes at the HS and 2 with an online school. Brad gets to experience online learning early and will have an advantage when he gets into college. The flexibility allows him to excel in wrestling and still have academics as a priority. He is also gaining skills he can use in a future career. Bret also had the choice of 5 different World Languages instead of the two offered at RV. Judy Bauernschmidt (Mom)

Student Value I wanted to take Spanish but it was a lottery and the class was full. I was going to be stuck in Home Economics. When I heard I could pick up Spanish 1 through the online school and just go to a lab that period I was happy. I still got to take Spanish and the course was fun - I used my video camera and so did the teacher - it was like we were in a regular classroom.- -- Brittney (student)

Principal Value Online course are a solution for the many dilemmas we face scheduling in a large high school offering comprehensive programing. This part-time and supplemental option has solved my scheduling problems and conflicts. It allows me appease the students and families of learners wanting additional courses to accelerate above grade level, alleviate scheduling troubles for students involved in multiple co- curricular (Choir, Band, Art, Student Govt.), and advanced curricular programs (honors and AP). I also have a dramatically expanded course catalogue
