AGRICULTURE RANGED FROM SMALL FARMS(MINIFUNDIA) TO LARGE FARMS, THIS INEQUALITY IN OWNERSHIP IS THE BASIS TO UNREST & POVERTY IN SA SOUTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES EXPORT A WIDE RANGE OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS FROM CACAO BEANS TO SUNFLOWER SEEDS MODERN INDUSTRY HAS PROVIDED BETTER TRAINING & BETTER JOBS

URBAN ENVIRONMENTS THE MAJORITY OF THE SOUTH AMERICAN POPULATION IS CONGREGATED IN IT’S COUNTRY’S LARGEST CITIES PUSH FACTORS(RURAL POVERTY & LIMITED GOOD LAND) AND PULL FACTORS (BETTER JOBS-MORE EXCITING LIFE) ARE THE CAUSE OF THIS URBAN MIGRATION

UNSKILLED RURAL MIGRANTS FIND FEW GOOD JOBS IN THE CITY - THEY END UP IN LARGE SLUMS THAT SURROUND MAJOR CITIES THESE SLUMS ARE CALLED FAVELAS IN BRAZIL, RANCHOS IN VENEZUELA, AND CALLAMPAS IN CHILE CRIME AND LACK OF BASIC SERVICES SUCH AS SCHOOLS AND SANITATION ARE MAJOR CONCERNS IN SOUTH AMERICAN CITIES.
