Presentation transcript:

Impasto is a special kind of art that is not smooth. Instead, it is supposed to have a texture that is made by paint brushes and palette knives.

Impasto Painting has a easier method than the ones artists use. This is how you do it! You need: Toilet paper White Glue Thick Paper (at least 12" x 12") Tempera Paint PaintbrushesPencils A container for mixing glue 1.Take your paper and draw the shape you want. ( Try not to make it too complicated. ) 2.Pluck out some toilet paper, roll it up and mix it in the container. ( Experiment, try to find the right way to do it so that it will be mushy enough)

3. Stick it on your paper according to the shape you drew. You may want to decide which will be 3-D and which will be flat. You can also leave gaps between each shape. 4.Leave it to dry. 5.Now you start getting creative! Take the Tempera Paint and paint the tissue paper to colour your picture! 6. Leave it to dry again. 7. Presto! You have finished your Impasto painting! Be proud of yourself!
