ROMAN EMPIRE ROME CONQUERS JUDEA 63 B.C. - Romans conquer the Hebrew kingdom of Judea & allowed “ Romanized Jews ” who showed respect and obeyed Roman laws to govern Judea

RISE OF CHRISTIANITY Birth of Jesus Christ  Joseph / Mary  Bethlehem – Matthew 2  age 30, began preaching what would become Christianity Created a “ Cultural Revolution ” Christians and the Roman Empire differed on the reason for life  Rome – “live the good life”  Christianity – “life was a pit stop in preparation for the life after death”
