Intro for SE’s (this slide to be deleted from your final deck!) This can be used as a template for an “intro” / executive summary The point of this deck is to walk the reader through a story. What’s this all about? What is the project? Why is it interesting from a social impact perspective? How much money do they want? What will they do with the money? Who is the team that’s going to implement this? What has the project done so far? Slides should retain a good amount of “white space” – no long paragraphs (e.g. your slides shouldn’t look like this one!) Keep in mind that different investors have different needs. For EACH potential investor you should go through this deck and make adjustments to it, to tailor it to what that investor wants. –A more mainstream financial investor will probably want to see more numbers and more about the business model, how you know your assumptions are correct, and what kind of risk they are taking by investing in you. –A grantmaker will want to see more on social impact – especially the type of social impact they are looking for. But all investors will want to see at least a little of everything in this template. –The profiles of investors that we provide you will be helpful in determining which was to slant the presentation. Do make it your own with your logo, colors, etc – but don’t go overboard!
