Chapter 12: Continuing Resources New draft of CJK serial examples in two stages Focus on print serials in the first stage Expand to examples for remote accessed integrating resources when CJK examples become available in the future Examples for Rules in 21.2Cs under 12.1B8 Potentially a long term project for RDA

Project Execution Identify revised rules Verify and revise existing examples Collect examples Extensive revision Enhance existing examples Add new examples Validation of examples

Identify Revised Rules AACRII 12.0B1 Printed serials The chief source of information for a printed serial is the title page or the title page substitute of the first issue of the serial. Failing this, the chief source of information is the first issue that is available. The title page substitute for an item lacking a title page is (in the order of preference) the cover, caption, masthead, editorial pages, colophon, other pages. AACRII 2002 Rev. 12.0B2. Chief source of information a) Printed resources. The chief source of information is the title page or the title page substitute. The title page substitute for an item lacking a title page is (in this order of preference) the analytical title page, cover, caption, masthead, editorial pages, colophon, other pages. Specify the source used as the title page substitute in a note (see 12.7B3). If information traditionally given on the title page is given on facing pages, with or without repetition, treat the two pages as the title page.

Example in the Existing Draft 245 Chesin wŏlbo = $b Monthly statistics. 245 = $b Monthly statistics. 260 [Sŏul] : $b Chesinbu 260 [ ] : $b 300 v. ; $c 26 cm. 500 Description based on: 28.

Add New Example 12.3G1. If a new sequence is accompanied by wording to differentiate the sequence, such as new series, include this wording. Distinguish such wording from that of a section title that is to be placed after a common title (see 12.1B4–12.1B6).12.1B4–12.1B Fu kan di 1 hao (Minguo 36 nian 3 yue [Mar, 1947])-fu kan di 1 juan di 4 hao (Minguo 36 nian 12 yue [Dec. 1947]); xin 1 juan di 1 qi (Minguo 56 nian 7 yue [July 1968]-xin 28 juan di 2 qi (Minguo 84 nian 12 yue [Dec. 1995]) ( 36 3 [Mar. 1947])- 1 4 ( [Dec. 1947]); 1 1 ( [July 20, 1967]) ( [Dec. 1995]). {Need Japanese and Korean examples}
