What is an IMPACT Model School? Technology-rich teaching and learning environment Resource-rich teaching and learning environment Collaboration among teachers and media and technology personnel Strong administrative leadership and support Adequate budget

Teacher Retention... Classroom teachers in IMPACT schools were more likely to be retained over this 3 year period than comparison school classroom teachers. This effect was particularly strong for beginning (0-3 years) teachers and master (11+ years) teachers.

In Technology Use... IMPACT teachers perceived that their schools were more supportive of risk-taking, and had more linkages to the community than did comparison schools.

IMPACT Leader Ratings IMPACT principals who were present for all three years of the grant were rated more highly in Year 3 than in Year 1 on all 5 constructs. These principals grew most in Challenging the Process and Inspiring a Shared Vision.
