SCHOLARSHIPS SEPARATE OFFICE AT UTEP TYPICALLY REQUIRE A SEPARATE APPLICATION ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS WHICH INCLUDE GPA AND CLASS LOAD ARE USUALLY HIGHER TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP

NEED BASED AID FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS –TEXAS GRANT AMOUNTS WORKSTUDY LOANS ( LARGEST OF ALL FINANCIAL AID PROGRAMS) –SUBSIDIZED –UNSUBSIDIZED

Application Process MUST COMPLETE A FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA) ANNUALLY BY February 14 to ensure meeting UTEP priority date of March 15. HOW TO GET YOUR MONEY Refunds (ANY FUNDS LEFT AFTER TUITION AND FEES HAS BEEN PAID TO THE INSTITUTION) are sent to students by hard check or direct deposit Direct Deposit strongly encouraged at UTEP

SATISFACTORY PROGRESS EPCC –2/3 COMPLETION –GOOD STANDING UTEP –75% –2.0 TRANSFER HOURS VS HOURS ACCEPTED TOWARDS DEGREE

THE TRANSFER STUDENT “NEW” Continuing education at different institution Must transfer all hours to new institution Must apply for Financial Aid at new institution

TRANSIENTS “VISITING” Student is NOT seeking a degree at that institution Student is NOT eligible for financial aid

CONSORTIUM “DUAL ENROLLMENT” Student MUST have transferred and is seeking a degree at UTEP MUST complete a Consortium Agreement Application Financial Aid will be awarded based on the combined hours All UTEP students are eligible to take courses at EPCC that apply toward a UTEP degree
