College of Southern Idaho Federal Financial Aid Apply early for Federal Financial Aid! The priority deadline is March 1 st for the upcoming Fall semester. -FAFSA submitted -All requested supporting documents submitted, too. If your financial aid awards have not already disbursed by the tuition due date, you are required to: 1. Pay your tuition in full OR 2. Complete a Tuition Loan Agreement with Admissions and Records.
Student needs: - Record(s) of previous years earnings: Federal Tax Returns (IRS 1040, 1040A, or 1040 EZ) and W-2(s) - Driver’s License or State ID number -Social Security or Alien Resident number -Current savings and/or investment records -Current bank statements -Untaxed income records, if applicable: These include: child support paid and/or received, and worker’s compensation payments received. Helpful tips to keep in mind when completing your FAFSA. College of Southern Idaho Helpful Tips Provide a current mailing address and an email address that you check regularly. Review your answers before you submit the FAFSA. To be eligible for federal financial aid, you must be a degree seeking student at the institution you apply to. Applying for federal financial aid is a process. It can take up to two weeks for the College of Southern Idaho to receive your FAFSA from the Department of Education.

College of Southern Idaho Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) FERPA is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records, including financial aid information. Limited information is released without written consent of the student. College of Southern Idaho Loan Tips If you accept a loan, you must complete an Entrance Counseling session and a Master Promissory Note. Available on Net Partner and the CSI Financial Aid website. If you are a first time student and a first time borrower, you will have a one-time 30 day delay on your loan money. If you are attending only one semester of an academic year, your loan money will be split into two disbursements during that semester.

College of Southern Idaho Disbursements The first disbursement of Federal financial aid and scholarships will be on the second Thursday of the semester. Attendance must be verified by instructors before any awards can disburse. Financial aid awards will be made based on the number of credits students are enrolled in at 8:00 A.M. on Monday of the second week of classes. If students who receive Federal financial aid increase the number of credits they are enrolled in after 8:00 A.M. on the second Monday, they will be responsible for all tuition and fees for those classes, (they will not be awarded additional aid for the semester). Once attendance has been verified, awards will be applied to your student account to pay your tuition and any book charges.
College of Southern Idaho Refunds If you have funds above what is owed to the college, this goes to you as a refund. Refunds are sent to HigherOne on Tuesdays and Thursdays. College of Southern Idaho utilizes HigherOne for all financial aid and scholarship credit balance/refund distribution. The amount of time it takes to receive a refund varies on the method you selected.
An EagleOne Card will be mailed to every degree-seeking student who enrolled in at least one credit course at CSI. Cards go out just before the semester begins. College of Southern Idaho DO NOT throw your card away! (a replacement card can cost you up to $20) - you will need the card to select your refund preferences; you may also need your card at a later date. As soon as you receive the card you need to log in to CSIEagleOneCard.com to select a refund preference: CSIEagleOneCard.com 1.Open a OneAccount and start using your EagleOne Card 2.Have your refund deposited/transferred to your current bank account (ACH) 3.Have a paper check mailed to you (to the mailing address we have on file in MyCSI - please make sure that your mailing address is correct).
