MMLC Presentation -- English Key Stage 2 Module: Food and Drinks Unit: Favourite Food and Drinks

Targets To develop an ever-improving capability to use English - to provide or find out, organize and present information on familiar topics. - to converse about feelings, interest, preferences, ideas, experiences and plans.

Language Focus - Use nouns to identify objects, e.g. I like VITA soya bean milk. - Ask “ Wh- ” questions to find out various kinds of specific information about a person, e.g. What are your favourite food and drinks? What other food and drinks shall we buy?

Language Focus - Ask “ How ” questions to find out the price, e.g. How many packets of VITA soya bean milk shall we buy? How much is a bag of CALBEE pizza potato chips? - Use formulaic expressions to make and respond to suggestions, e.g. Let ’ s buy ……, That ’ s a good idea.

Language Skills Speaking – maintain an interaction by asking questions and giving examples. Listening – identify details that support a main idea. - listen for specific information
