Current Situation 39 Electric Vehicles Includes 7 vans and 32 cars. 24 x 7kw charging posts. 4 x Rapid Chargers (3 x AC/DC) Publically available points – 1 st Rapid Charger

EV Implementation Group Ensure consistency Align with Staff Travel Plan & Sustainable Transport Team Increased support within council Opens up alternative funding streams

Future Plans / Ambitions Replace all appropriate cars with EV’s. Expand fleet of small vans for Trades. Increase city wide infrastructure. Increase utilisation

Building a Business Case Vital in current climate for EV’s. Cost v environmental benefits.

Challenges Lack of knowledge. Taking a leap of faith. Making the numbers work. Additional workload. Changing mindset

Making it work Identify suitable and realistic areas of use. Tap into enthusiasm and opportunities. Sharing evidence to wider market. Joint focus on vehicles and infrastructure.
