Background MICS4 Survey Design Workshop Exposure to influences outside the local community (by reading, listening radio or watching TV) It does not matter what she reads, listens, or watches and in what language. Computers and internet also open up possibilities of exposure to influences outside the local community or even the country, in ways different than exposure to newspapers, radio or television. Use of computers and internet are regarded as skill sets necessary in todays world, as an increasing amount of information is shared and transmitted through the internet, transactions are handled on the internet, and the like.
