Conclusions The Network took note of: The overview of the country responses and the findings of the European Commission and the UNESCO on integration of ECEC. The country presentations on the theme of the meeting from HUN, IRL, SWE, MEX, FIN, CHL, NZL, KOR, SCO, CZE, JAP. The revised project plan of the new quality project and discussants from AUS, DEU, KOR, NOR, POR, followed by constructive comments from countries. The revised template for the ECEC database and the OECD/DELSA planned Child Well-being database, followed by comments from countries. The UNESCO World Conference on ECEC in Moscow September 2010 The Japan/OECD seminar to take place on 7-9 June 2010

Conclusions (Cont) The Network agreed: Quality project and ECEC database Provide written comments by the end of the year or early next year. Others The next network meeting will be financing early childhood education, with links with other OECD work to be held in Paris. The dates the next meeting (schedule June) will be confirmed in writing, considering the timeline of the questionnaire response.

Action Plan for Next Steps Secretariat 1. Consult bureau members on the questionnaire for the next meeting 2. Start the quality mapping exercise/literature reviews and present these at the next meeting. Network members 1. Submit written comments by the end of the year/ January. Comments on the revised project plan and revised template for the ECEC- database. Research available in your own language/ not been translated into English or French. 2.Respond to the questionnaire for the next meeting
