Several kind of scientific data archived in polar region have great significance for the global environmental research during 21 st century. It is expected for the prompt usage of the background network service of digital data & Internet technology. As well as the activities of SCAR, IASC, IPY, strong linkages with CODATA and WDS are required both for the national and international communities. The WDS 1 st conference at Kyoto, 2011 will be the first step for establishment of the new strategy. The state of polar data management the IPY experience – Summary -
