WHO IS THE DIRECTOR -The “creative force” behind the making of a film -In charge of visualizing the script and translating it into images and sounds -DIRECTOR IS NOT THE SAME AS THE PRODUCER -The producer is responsible for the financial aspects of the film, the director is in charge of the creative aspects.

Role of the Editor An Editor creates the final film in post-production. He selects and splices the best shots to capture the mood, pace, and drama. He must work closely with the director in order to gain a complete understanding of the story. He has to lay out the imagery and synchronize the sound which may include voiceovers, the soundtrack or added sound or visual effects. An editor uses digital systems to edit the films. “Film editing that is done well is not noticeable because the cuts are seamless or done for artistic effect”
