Kronos Time Clock System All support staff employees and substitutes clock in and out using the Kronos Time Clock Employees clock in and out of work at a central location at their job site (including when they leave for lunch, if applicable) The time clock will auto calculate your work hours each week and will be electronically transferred to Kyrene’s payroll system Employee is responsible for reconciling missing time each week A d i s t r i c t o f e x c e l l i n g s c h o o l s

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Federal law establishes minimum wage, child labor standards, overtime pay and record-keeping which requires the accurate recording of exact hours worked Exempt and non-exempt (hourly) differences Non-exempt employees are not allowed to “donate” their time No overtime / no comp time currently in practice (Support Staff: Please see Meet & Confer regarding break language) A d i s t r i c t o f e x c e l l i n g s c h o o l s 15

Subfinder System Some new school-based employees must voice register with SubFinder before they can record an absence. Check with your supervisor to determine if your position requires a sub. SubFinder Absence Reporting For Some School-Based Staff All absences must be reported even if a sub is not needed All school-based personnel need to report their absences through SubFinder (not temporary employees) Absences should be reported as soon as possible. If less than 1 hour before job start time, please contact Sub Coordinator, Mel Allbright at (480) 783-4006 Only report your work hours. The system defaults to a full school day. If you are not a full time employee, specify your work hours. Absences must comply with Meet and Confer. Restricted day absences must be approved in writing and in advance. Mandatory Trainings Federal and State laws require that school district employees be trained on topics related to their employment and on subjects related to working with students.  The Kyrene School District is pleased to offer this training online for you to access by computer. Mandatory Training Modules cover important workplace issues such as Sexual Harassment, Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting, Discrimination, and Bloodborne Pathogens, among others Employee trainings are accessed through the iVisions Portal Employee Resources Employee Trainings 5 to10 minutes to complete each module Training Modules are completed by all employees annually during regular work hours www.kyrene.org 8 trainings? Leave of Absence For any absence period exceeding five (5) consecutive work days you must contact Human Resources to inquire about an authorized Leave of Absence. Sick Leave Bank All three employee groups offer a sick leave bank.
