Chapter Overview 17 November 2005 North Star Chapter PM 13 Our Speakers (1) Eric Anderson has been involved in technology insertion and new product development at Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems in Eagan, MN for the past six years. His experience during this time includes technology refresh of VME single-board computers and PMC I/O boards in existing naval combat display systems under the AN/UYQ-70 program and development of prototype next generation combat display consoles such as the Valiant console. Eric has a BS in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

Chapter Overview 17 November 2005 North Star Chapter PM 14 Our Speakers (2) Joe Palmiter is a Program Manager for PaR Systems in Shoreview. PaR is a manufacturer of custom robotic systems. Joe has 30 years experience in line, program & project management in the development and deployment of high reliability products, applications, & systems. His experience ranges from early stage venture start-ups to large multinational corporations. In these positions, he managed multi-disciplinary product development departments with electronic, software, and mechanical engineers in multiple site and international programs. He holds a BSEE and is a Senior Member of IEEE.

Chapter Overview 17 November 2005 North Star Chapter PM 15 Our Speakers (3) Harvey Taipale is a Program manager at Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors – Tactical Systems in Eagan, Minnesota. He is currently responsible for pursuing new system infrastructure business using rugged COTS products. He has been involved in the use of COTS solutions for military applications for the past 10 years. Over his career of 38 years, he has held various engineering, management and business development positions and worked on programs for the Navy, Army, Air Force, FAA and Postal Service, as well as international programs in Japan, Germany, and the UK. He has a BS degree in Math and Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Chapter Overview 17 November 2005 North Star Chapter PM 16 Our Speakers (4) Randy Hartman has worked for Honeywell since He has been an analyst and electrical designer on navigation products at Honeywell including both inertial and GPS products and has developed equipment for Boeing, Airbus and most business aviation OEMs. In addition he has developed GPS landing systems for the FAA including the Local Area Augmentation System (LAAS). More recently he worked for the Collision Avoidance Metric Partnership (CAMP) led by Chrysler, GM, Ford and Toyota to develop Inertial/GPS equipment for automotive demonstration. Today Randy is the program manager for the Honeywell Advanced Electronics Automotive Initiative which is developing stability control sensors for automobiles. Randy holds a graduate degree in electrical engineering and computer science from NDSU and a masters degree in control theory from the U of Minnesota.
