What did Shakespeare look like? 23rd April rd April 1616

By sneaking into a party (in honor of Viola's suitor - Lord Wessex), Shakespeare meets Viola de Lesseps. He promptly falls in love with her during a dance, inspiring him to begin writing his play again, but is threatened by Wessex to never touch his property Lord Wessex

In fear, Shakespeare tells Wessex that he is Christopher Marlowe. Later, when Essex realises that Shakespearew lied to him, it’s too late: Marlowe has already been killed. Out of revenge a duel follows in which Shakespeare wins and tells everyvody that Wessex is a murderer. ( ) - Marlowe English dramatist, the father of English tragedy, introducer of blank verse, born in the same year as Shakespeare. Author of The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus and Tamburlaine the Great.

Viola is promised in a marriage to Wessex approved of by Queen Elizabeth I herself even if she’s truly in love with Shakespeare and - tegardless of the engagement – she plots anything possible to see him (disguises herself as a boy)

When Viola is found out to be a woman, she is forced out of the play and obliged to marry Wessex (It was morally and legally disapproved for women to perform on stage) By the time Will realizes that Viola and Thomas are the same person. He finds inspiration in her and in the events surrounding them, and writes Romeo and Juliet. According yo her father’s will, unfortunatley Viola has to marry the hated Wessex but immediately after the wedding, she runs off to the theatre to watch the debut of the play, but is compelled on stage when the actor playing Juliet's voice changes.

Despite the successful performance, the authorities arrive to arrest the members of the company for allowing a woman on stage, but it is revealed that Elizabeth I is in the audience so it is said that Thomas Kent has played the role of Juliet. Viola and Wessex depart for America after a tearful farewell with Shakespeare, but Viola's fate is somewhat ambiguous. Shakespeare describes a shipwreck and a new beginning for the heroine of his next play, Twelfth Night, who will be named Viola in honor of his love.

The Globe Theatre in the Southwark district of London was the venue at which Shakespeare’s best known works were first produced. It was built during Shakespeare's early period in 1599 by one of his long-standing associates, Mr Burbage,

The Globe was built in 1599 using timber from an earlier theatre, The Theatre, which had been built by James Burbage in The Burbages originally had a 20-year lease of the site on which the Theatre was built. When the lease ran out, they dismantled The Theatre beam by beam and transported it over the Thames to reconstruct it as The Globe. The stage of the Globe (drawing)

The new Globe theatre – Southwark - London The Globe is a unique international resource dedicated to the exploration of Shakespeare's work, and the playhouse for which he wrote. In 1993, the construction of the Globe Theatre began and were completed in International artists play summer seasons of plays.
