UNIT TITLE—Playing it Safe in the LAB Unit Objectives: As a result of this unit, the students will KNOW: Names of Lab Equipment, Names and Location of Lab Safety Equipment, Proper precautions to avoid accidents in the Lab Area, Proper Procedures In the event of an accident. As a result of this lesson students will UNDERSTAND that: By being familiar with the Lab area and Applying proper precautions and procedures, lab activities can remain safe and fun. Unit Overview Lesson EQs Whole Class Differentiated Why is the knowledge of proper lab procedures and equipment important? Group Presentation of KnowledgePut into groups according to Sternberg’s learning style and give each group a choice of how they will present the material.
