Formed in 1989 to: ◦ Promote fellowship among Christian geologists; ◦ Promote the integrity of geology as a scientific discipline; ◦ Investigate the ways in which Christian faith & geology bear on one another; ◦ Educate the Christian public about geology; ◦ Develop avenues of witness to non-Christian geologists; ◦ Promote Christian stewardship & service in the geological sphere; and ◦ Provide intellectual leadership at the interface between Christian and geologic thought.

Last ASA meeting July 29-Aug 1 ◦ North Central College, Naperville, IL. Stephen Moshier organized & led an all-day ACG field trip ◦ Paleozoic strata & Pleistocene glacial landforms in northern IL. Next ASA meeting: July 20-23, 2012, at Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, CA ◦ Theme: Science, Faith, and the Media. ◦ Need a volunteer to lead an ACG field trip!

Initial drafting of the statement by Michael Guebert in the lead role. Soon to be considered by the Officers. Following the Council’s editing, will be submitted to the membership by the group list for comments & discussion. Final editing by the Officers & adoption. Now is the time to get involved if you are passionate about this issue!
