APUS Activities Objectives: Try to prepare students with skills and knowledge for AP test in May. Make activities effective, applicable, and fun. Get students out of the classroom to “touch” history. Learn about Saratoga History. In Class Activities –Lectures –Review Activities (Simulations, Smackdowns, maps) –Quizzes and Tests (MC, Essay, and online) Out of Class –Volunteer Saratoga Museum-2 hours –Power Hours –History Day Competition –San Francisco Walking Tour (December break) –Washington, D.C. (Spring Break) Parent Meeting Sept. 22 nd after Junior Meeting in McAfee
