8 eLene – TT Symposium 23 November 2006, Paris Resulting guidelines for eTTCampus eTTCampus should: use technology that is simple, user friendly, and interoperable. use clearly defined terms promote proactive practice (in line with adult learning approaches) cope with an audience that may have no experience or negative experience of virtual campuses raise motivation by rewarding learning and human interaction encourage networking be cheap and of high quality consider special needs and accessibility be promoted with a good marketing strategy in order to reach a critical mass of end users.

11 eLene – TT Symposium 23 November 2006, Paris A Moodle Platform Why Moodle? –A free open source software package, designed to help educators create effective online courses based on sound constructivist principles –An LMS that can be connected to other tools (for example Elgg). –Used in some of the partner institutions Some project members were trained in using Moodle and were given administrator rights in order to create LEs from a storyboard Moodle has been regularly updated - now using Moodle A survey tool has been produced, with accompanying tutorial
