Daily Allowances Grains Vegetables Fruits Meats and Beans Dairy Oils Although the daily allowances differ among age, sex, and physical activity, these are the general amounts: Grains 3 to 5 ounce equivalents Vegetables 1 to 1 ½ cups Fruits Meats and Beans 2 to 4 ounce equivalents Dairy 2 cups Oils 3 to 4 teaspoons Physical Activity 30 minutes a day at the minimum 60 minutes a day will prevent weight gain Daily Allowances

Healthy Eating Eating a variety of foods Add water into your meals Smaller portions Listen to your body Many people feel that eating only fruits and vegetables is considered healthy eating, but this is wrong healthy eating means eating a variety of different foods and knowing how much to eat. By adding water into your meal this will make one get fuller quicker. Its important to make sure that you are hungry when eating because if one is not hungry this will add on unwanted pounds that may be hard to work off. Healthy Eating
