“...is the use of electronic means by a minor to torment, threaten, harass, humiliate, embarrass or otherwise target another minor.” – Cyberbullying

▪Over half (52 percent) of young people report being cyberbullied. ▪An astounding 95 percent of teens who witnessed bullying on social media report that others, like them, have ignored the behavior.. ▪More than half of young people surveyed say that they never confide in their parents when cyberbullying happens to them. ▪Only one out of every six parents of adolescents and teens are even aware of the scope and intensity involved with cyberbullying. ▪Cyberbullying affects all races. ▪Victims of cyberbullying are more likely to suffer from low self-esteem and to consider suicide as a result. How do we stop this? The best way is to be aware of what your students are doing online and establish rules for the use of all technology. Cyberbullying nobullying.com
