The Heart of the Matter: Learning the Chambers of the Heart

In this tutorial you will be learning each of the four chambers of the heart: Right AtriumRight VentricleLeft AtriumLeft Ventricle Start Tutorial

Find the Right Atrium

Right Atrium The right atrium is the right upper chamber of the heart. It obtains deoxygenated blood from the body through the vena cava and pumps it into the right ventricle which then sends it to the lungs to be oxygenated. Good Job! Next

Find the Right Ventricle

Right Ventricle The right ventricle is divided from the left ventricle by the septum. It emits blood through the pulmonic valve into the pulmonary arteries. Good Job! Next

Find the Left Atrium

Left Atrium The left atrium executes the atrial kick for the left heart, influences heart rate and has endocrine. The left atrium wall is a little larger than the right atrium. Good Job! Next

Oops! Click the heart to try again.

Find the Left Ventricle

Left Ventricle The left ventricle is the largest chamber of the heart, accounting for the majority of the anterior and left lateral surfaces of the heart. The left ventricle also occupies the vast majority of the heart's apex. Good Job! Next

Great Job! You have successfully completed the heart chambers lesson. Please feel free to review the lesson again by clicking the heart below.
