64 Tile prototype Sipm/Pcb We have looked into a simple design for a Pc board. It contains 64 Sipms and 4 temperature sensors. 8mil trace with 8 mil spaces.

For our first approach we select a Microstrip design with 2 layer PC board.
51 ohms when using 8 mil trace, half once copper and 5 mil thick height.

Tile from side shows a fiber terminating on an Sipm and beginning midpoint on other side. Fiber meets at angle with some light loss.

We are currently producing a mock up of the 64 tile board with 4 different test holes for the Sipm. It appears that there are no real difficult electrical problems. We are looking at some of the limitations to the mechanical assembly.
