How Do We Choose the Subjects To Teach ? Fulfilling the American System Requirements for Curriculum Fulfilling the Requirements of the Ministry of Education Fulfilling Requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education for University Admissions

Structure of Academic Year The school year consists of 2 semesters. Each semester is broken down into 2 quarters. There is a mid-term exam after the 2nd quarter. There is a final exam after the 4th quarter. Each quarter constitutes 20% of the final grade. The midterm constitutes 10% of the final grade. The final exam constitutes 10% of the final grade.

Example Student scored 700 / 800 at school (highest subjects from grade 11 and 12) Student scored 1450 on SAT I 700 / 800 x 40/100 = 35% 1450 / 2400 x 60/100 = 36.25% 35% + 36.25% = 71.25% Total Percentage

SAT II What are the subjects of SAT II ? What is the pass mark on SAT II ? How and when does the student register for SAT II ? How many chances does the student get ? How is SAT II calculated into the total percentage ?

Example Student scored 700 / 800 at school (highest subjects from grade 11 and 12) Student scored 1450 on SAT I Student scored 1100 on SAT II 700 / 800 x 40/100 = 35% 1450 / 2400 x 60/100 = 36.25% 1100 / 1800 x 15/100 = 9.1% 71.25% + 9.1%= 80.35% Total Percentage 71.25 %
