Electronic Citation System Putting a desktop computer setup in a central DWI processing center for the top 20 DWI revocation counties will result in the potential of 65% of all DWI revocations being handled electronically. Desktops in 25 top counties would result in the potential of nearly 70% of all DWI revocations handled electronically. Desktops in the 45 top counties for DWI revocations would result in the potential of 82.4% of all DWI revocations. A citation tracking system Tracking functionality for uniform traffic citations is available in TraCS. Officers of the court have access to pending actions and historical records in the Justice Data Warehouse. Pending actions are also available through the Iowa Court Information System. In the Justice Data Warehouse, past citations can be tracked by either violator’s name or case ID. Tracking functionality for uniform traffic citations is available in TraCS. Immediate Electronic Transmission of Data Electronic transmission to the court of uniform traffic citations is implemented in all 99 counties. Electronic transmission to the Motor Vehicle Division of DWI arrest and consent forms is available to all TraCS users. The courts report convictions for uniform traffic citations to the Motor Vehicle Division electronically. Linkage to develop a complete record for each offender Establish links with the Justice Data Warehouse and other Criminal Justice Databases that allow the courts and the prosecutors to access driver files on individual offenders and allow the electronic transmission of data to the DMV from the courts, treatment and corrections agencies that are needed for completion of the administrative sanction process. Currently, the responsibility for providing this information to DMV is on the individual. Most probation information is on the Iowa Corrections system. Timely access to produce statistical reports needed to support agency operations and manage the impaired driver program Can be enhanced by creating an impaired driver statistical information source within the Justice Data Warehouse. The Warehouse could serve as a single source, all-encompassing data reserve for impaired driver statistical data from DMV, the courts, corrections, treatment and probation agencies.
