The way in which one slide changes to the next slide in the presentation.

What is a slide transition?

According to Edgar Dale, we remember 95% of this.

What we teach others?

This type of font is best suited for slide headings. It does not have any tails.

What is sans serif?

These colors are opposite one another on the color wheel and provide color contrast.

What are complementary colors?

This blank space is planned in order to help emphasize the text or graphics on a slide.

What is white space?

These colors are directly next to each other on the color wheel and create a harmonious feeling.

What are Analogous colors?

This type of item is effective in a slideshow presentation because it can present more data than just text alone.

What are graphics?

It is considered “shouting” and it is difficult to read.

What are ALL CAPS?

Too many words per line and too many lines per page violates this guideline.

Pay attention to these. They convey meaning and influence attitudes in a presentation.

Red, Blue and Yellow

What are the primary colors on the color wheel?

Planning the use of color is important because according to various sources, 5 percent to 8 percent of men have some form of this.

What is color blindness?

The process of making sure that all objects and files are included in a PowerPoint slideshow.

What is packaging the presentation?

It means that the container merely saves the actual filename, as opposed to the whole file.

What is a linked object?

A text effect that changes text to a subtle color when subsequent lines of text are displayed

What is dimming?

A style of font with tails on the letters….the purpose of which is to help lead the eye across the line of text.

What is a serif font?

The ratio of the width of the picture to the height; for example, 4:3.

What is aspect ratio?

The way objects enter and exit a slide in PowerPoint

What is animate?

A pre-existing slideshow design.

What is a template?

A slide that serves as a model for every slide in the presentation except the Title slide
