Before the game (answer these yourselves, then have your son answer these) – Why do I want them to play? – What are my goals for him? – What will a successful season look like? – What is their role going to be? – What do I hope they gain from the experience? – Compare your lists…drop yours and accept theirs. – Show confidence and trust in them and release them to the game
