In addition structural investments executed in Poland in years can be co-financed from: The Cohesion Fund– 4 178,6 mln euro Community Initiatives: INTERREG 221,4 mln euro and EQUAL 133,9 mln euro. The total amount of funds (structural funds, Cohesion Fund, national funds, private funds) for the implementation of the structural policy in Poland in years will reach app. 19,2 bilion euro. Measure 1.2 Environmental Protection Infrastructure Types of projects: concerning the protection of surface waters (water supply systems, sewage treatment plants, etc.), concerning the protection of air, concerning waste management, support for management of environmental protection, in the area of gaining renewable energy sources: construction, development and modernisation of the public infrastructure serving for the generation of electricity and heat from renewable sources (e.g. wind, biomass, hydro, geothermal, solar). Main types of projects: water supply, sewage systems and waste water treatment, local road infrastructure, waste management in small towns and villages, closure of illegal waste dumps, integrated development of land to be used for investment purposes, alternative power generation by creating local systems of renewable energy sources (e.g. solar, wind, water, geothermal, organic/biomass), greater energy efficiency in public buildings, air protection, local flood protection infrastructure, local tourism and economically sustainable cultural infrastructure, tourism and culture information systems.
