Goals  To Increase the effectiveness, expertise, and skills of its members  To involve its members in an active and supportive network of professionals who are leaders in the field of correctional education  To help increase the quality of educational programs and service through technical assistance as well as advocacy  To offer timely and practical information to fellow staff members  To represent the collective interest of correctional education before the government, the press, and the public on the national as well as on state, provincial, and local levels

Affiliations  American Correctional Association (ACA)  American Jail Association (AJA)  European Prison Education Association (EPEA)  International Federation of Education in Correctional Settings - Australia (IFECSA)  American Association for Adult & Continuing Education (AAACE)  National Association for Adults with Special Learning Needs (NAASLN)

What Competition?  The Correctional Education Association is the ONLY group for educators working in correctional settings.  Only CEA has insight into the needs faced by this special group of professionals! “By correctional educators, for correctional educators”
