Go to “Screening and Analytics" and pick “Company Screening” 2. Click on “Investment Type” under Company Details on the left of the screen. Scroll down and under “Available Items” click on “Private Equity Investing” and move this to the right in the box labeled “Selected Items”. Then click Add Criteria in the lower right. 3. Then click on “Industries of Interest” under Investment Criteria. Then search for “media” in the search box, and click on that selection with your mouse, and then click Add Criteria in the lower right. 4. From the final results listed, click on the final number under “Matches” to view results.

Go to “Screening and Analytics" and pick “Transactions Screening” 2. Click on “Industry Classifications” under Company Details on the left of the screen. Then search for Cable and select the “Cable and other Pay Television” option. Then click on Add Criteria in the lower right. 3. Then under General Transaction Details, click on “Primary Features” and choose “Private Placement-Growth Capital/Private Equity” and then click Add Criteria. 4. Also click on “Transaction Dates” and choose “Last 3 years” from the pull-down menu and then click Add Criteria. 5. From the final results listed, click on the final number under “Matches” to view results.

Log into Venturexpert with the login/password on the Information Page for Venturexpert Information Page for Venturexpert 2. Once in the database, click on the “Profiles” tab, then click on “Firms” and in the window that opens, click on “Advanced Query Items” 3. Then click on “Investment Focus” and choose “Venture”, then click on “Include Selected”. 4. Then under “Investment Firm Details” click on “Capital under Management”, and put in the range: 90 to 100 million, then click OK. 5. Then click on “Execute Search” and the list of results appears in the next screen.

VentureXpert Search Example: Top ranked PE Firms that invest in mezzanine stage investments To do this search: 1. Log into Venturexpert with the login/password on the Information Page for Venturexpert Information Page for Venturexpert 2. Once in the database, click on the “Analytics” tab, then click on “Fund Statistics”. 3. Then from the pull-down menu under “Select Report Type”, select “Ranked Firms”. 4. On the same screen next to “Private Equity Type” make sure “All Private Equity Funds” is chosen. 5. Then click on “Investment Focus” and choose “Mezzanine Stage”, then click on “Include Selected”. 6. Then click on “Generate Report”.
