LEARNING GOAL: Teachers will have an overall understanding of Common Core State Standards, understand the timeline for implementation and understand the differences between NGSSS and CCSS. 4 I understand why we need new standards, the timeline for the transition to the new standards, and some types of PD we will be doing during the transition. I can share this with others including things I need to change or learn to make the transition. 3I understand the main differences between NGSSS and CCSS, the timeline for implementation and why we need to begin moving toward these new standards. 2I have some understanding about CCSS and the implementation timeline but do not understand how I will know what is needed to make the transition. 1I am aware of the CCSS but do not understand why we have to use them nor when I am expected to use them I have little understanding of what I need to do to prepare for them. 0I am aware that there are new standards but I am not sure why we need to use them nor how soon we will use them.
