The percentage of organizations reporting challenges has held constant from mid Half of organizations report increased demand and difficulty fulfilling mission, while one-quarter are at risk.

Operating charities are more likely to be under high stress than foundations.

Generally, smaller charities are more likely to be under high stress than are larger charities.

Philanthropic Intermediaries and Voluntarism Promotion organizations are less likely to be under high stress.

British Columbia and Quebec organizations are most likely to be under high stress.

Charities with 25 paid staff or more are less likely to be under high stress.

The amount of change in revenues remains essentially unchanged from mid Foundations continue to be more likely than operating charities to report increased revenues.

The paid staff change picture continues to remain largely stable. Operating charities are more likely than foundations to report that paid staff numbers have increased.

Leaders are more pessimistic about the future. Leaders are consistent in their predictions of demand, but are less likely to predict that they will be stronger in terms of their ability to perform their mission over the near- to medium-term.
