Suriname in Action DESCRIPTION OF THE INITIATIVE The world Market is huge to unlimited; Referring to marketing and processing studies from CEDA, we can conclude that there is a huge unlimited demand for pepper cq pepperprocessing plants. Historically 40% of agriculture business in Suriname was based on small family business, nowadays it’s is less then10%; Suriname has a diversity of peppers species (especially Madame Jeanette, Alatta pepre en Adjoema pepre) which can be used as an input to blend aromatic hot pepper products.

Suriname in Action Cont’  In this regard our country can offer a very special, Suriname derived pepperproduct, that is unique in the Caribbean and else where in the world.  In the opinion of the committee the sector has to be upgraded (small and meduim family businisses)to be of contribution to the national economic growth
