Research Education in EDS Strategic Plan Key Result Areas: Research Training ‘ Strengthen research training capacity and the quality of the postgraduate research experience’ Research Culture ‘Strong teaching-research nexus and growing high impact and high quality research’

Research Education in EDS EDS School Plan:  Develop and consolidate support under a unified research structure within the school  Whole school approach to research education from honours through to masters, PhD and Ed D programs  Review the role of Research Degrees Coordinators  Linking Research Education with areas of research strength and key partners in education

Research Education in EDS Key Performance Indicators:  Recruiting and retaining high performing students  Improved responses to Post Grad Research Experience Questionnaire  Scholarships  Increase the number of EDS staff who are active researchers on supervision register

Research Education in EDS Step 2010 project:  Investigate the teaching-research nexus, research training and research pathways in all undergraduate programs, particularly in Learning Area courses.  Consolidated Honours program across the school

Research Education in EDS Research Education Committee:  Membership includes Honours and Research Degree Coordinators plus Associate Dean: Research & Consultancy  Monthly meetings  Advisory, consultative, educative and strategic  Terms of reference include co-ordinating RE activities across the school and supporting staff collegially as well as administratively
