BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY Plagiarism is a form of research misconduct and a serious violation that has been one of the issues in education. Plagiarism is the theft or misappropriation of intellectual property and the substantial unattributed textual copying of another’s work.

PROBLEM STATEMENT Tanner describe plagiarism occur from the sheer volume of work and interestingly a lack of understanding of the task required. Plagiarism can be occurred intentionally or unintentionally. So, this research find out perception about plagiarism among UMP students and investigate the factors that influence the plagiarism.

PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY Objective of study : 1.To investigate the perception about plagiarism among UMP students. 2.To determine the consequences of students plagiarisms 3.To find out the factors of plagiarisms among UMP students

RESEARCH QUESTION Divided into 3 parts : 1.Do the students understand the perception of plagiarisms? 2.Are the students aware on the consequences of plagiarisms? 3.What the factors contribute to plagiarisms?

SCOPE OF STUDY & METHODOLOGY Focus on UMP students from all faculties. Distribute survey questionnaires – To identify the occurrence plagiarism issues among students in UMP
