Madison Footballs 2012 Fundraising effort will provide the Madison Football Program with much needed new uniforms, footballs, football dummies, pre-game meals, trapezoid football dummies, and stand up bags. We are also in need of weight training equipment: medicine balls, plyometric boxes, push- pull sleds and Olympic weights. A member of the Madison Football team has selected you as an important member of their life and is asking for your help! The Madison Football Program strives to provide the safest, highest quality equipment to our athletes. We are requesting your support in our efforts to become an elite program in the state of Oregon. Madison High School is an inner-city school with over 60% of the students on free or reduced lunch. These numbers represent that over 60% of our students are at or below the poverty line. This statistic requires that the student athletes be creative with ways to raise the funds to have an elite program. The players already do several fundraisers involving the local community; they clean up at a local beer festival, sale advertisements in the fall program to local businesses to raise funds for a team football camp at Linfield College, sale restaurant cards that can be used within the neighborhood, put on a golf tournament with the baseball program, and run a youth football camp. While all of these fundraisers do well, they still leave the program short of it’s minimum needs.

Cost of the equipment: Nike uniforms Home & Away Jerseys + Game Pants: $16,000 ( If we can raise enough we will get a second set of all white pants as well as the all red. We need an extra $2,220) Pre-Game meals/Gatorade/player lunches: $2,500 Footballs: $ trapezoid dummies: $1,300 Plyometric Balls: $970 1 Push-pull sled: $275 Plyo Boxes/2 five piece sets: $490 each Olympic Bumper Weights: $1,000 Total needed: $23,035 Items underlined are of high need and will be purchased first. Due to the increased number of players out last season, we do not have enough game cloth for the 2012 season.
