Preparation Work for Cooperation About the 7th Meeting of ICG Overview Development Plan Current Progress System Applications Preparation Work for Cooperation About the 7th Meeting of ICG About China Satellite Navigation Conference Conclusions

General Introduction Several seminars have been held by Chinese technical experts to discuss four cooperation fields defined during the 1st cooperation meeting. The first set of potential cooperation programs and detailed cooperation content will be proposed for discussion during this 2nd meeting based on Pakistani requirements, construction progress of BeiDou system and its application status. In the future, we will further broaden cooperation sectors, deepen cooperation content, and carry out all-round cooperation based upon the first set of cooperation programs.

BeiDou Civil Application Demonstration & Promotion Work out plans of “BeiDou Asia-Pacific Tour”, while Pakistan is expected to be one the first set of countries to carry out BADEC activities and promote the internationalization of BeiDou system. We will introduce the technologies and application characteristics of BeiDou system to Pakistani partners in various forms of reports and presentations, technology speech, discussion and exchanges, exhibition and demonstration, so as to validate application effect of BeiDou system in Pakistan and make exploration and preparation in advance for follow-up practical applications.

Monitoring Facilities Establishment Raise and promote iGMAS proposal, push forward the monitoring and assessment of satellites constellation, signal accuracy, signal quality, service performance, etc. Establish iGMAS subgroup under the framework of ICG, and assign Chinese expert as the co-chair of the sub-group. Launch the preliminary preparation and coordination for the construction of iGMAS demonstration stations, including technology standard and requirements, as well as the preparation for equipment development.

Training and Talent Cultivation Actively promote the establishment of BeiDou International Communicaton and Training Center: based on Beihang University Prepare to establish International GNSS Science and Education Center under great support from UNOOSA Set up a Master Degree Program on GNSS under the support of APSCO Hold a short-term lecture on GNSS Frontier Technology in summer

Civil Application Technology R&D Cooperation Service performance of BeiDou system keeps improving since the initial operational service has been provided, and the research on BeiDou chips and terminals in under good operation Quick acceleration of demonstration application in different industries and regions: transportation, meteorology, Pearl River Delta of China Encourage domestic enterprises and research institutions to carry out technology exchanges with Pakistani experts
