Update from NDMA 06 th June 2012

District Update Coordination for coverage of gaps in emergency assistance, and implementation of ER activities deems critical in all districts; recent cases of duplications in Sanghar (distributions), Badin and Umerkot (ER projects). Shelter agencies reminded to inform the Shelter Cluster and district authorities before starting activities. Corruption cases and duplications – Only one case of duplication was confirmed in TMK, though a number of households had reused emergency shelter kit provided by one organization to supplement e.g. T-Shelters or roofing kits provided by another. 06 th June 2012

District Update An urgent need for shelter trainings was highlighted in Badin. In MPK – A number of government model villages are being constructed. SC will identify the locations of these. In Shaheed Benazirabad - Tehluka Qazi Ahmed identified isolated by the local organizations in last district cluster meetings. The district SC asked for the assessment of isolated Tehluka from the local organizations. 06 th June 2012
