BY: VINCENT GEOFFREY SI ADIONG 6-D The tropical rainforest

Where my biome Is ? Fifty percent of the tropical rainforests in the world can be found in Latin America. One third of the tropical rainforests are in the country of brazil. The rest of the of the tropical rainforests are located at southeast Asia and west Africa.

Tarantula Tarantulas are found in the tropical rainforests. Tarantulas hunt in the nighttime. They use their silk to make doors, burrows and soft walls to capture their enemies.

Butterfly Butterflies as babies are usually born on leaves. Their first meals are their own eggshells. The second stage of their life is being a caterpillar. The last stage is being the flying winged creature it is.

White gecko The white gecko is a beautiful creature. It is called this because it has a white line across his entire body. It is 5-8 inches total and it eats small insects. It has developed feet pads that lets him climb trees with ease.

Saprophytes Saprophytes are the organisms that decompose all the dead animals and rubbish on the rainforest floor. They are so small that you cant even see it with your own eyes. When they finish decomposing they put it into the soil.

Lianas Ninety percent of the vines species around the world are in the rainforest. Lianas vines are a type of climbing vines that grow on tree branches. Their lives begin on the floor but climb up to the top in time.

Bromeliads Bromeliads are a part of the pineapple family. Their thick waxy leaves are in a bowl form for to catch rainwater in the rainforest. Some bromeliads can hold many gallons of water. They provide home for creatures like snails, beetles and frogs.

Abiotic factors The rainforest is a very warm and wet environment. It has an average temperature of degrees Celsius. The rainforest gets days of rain during the year. The warm air and lots of rain makes it perfect for growing most trees and the trees can grow huge here. It has 80 % of humidity level.

Resources Avocado Cassava Macadamia nuts Breadfruit Chayote Okra Brazil nuts Guava Papaya Cane sugar Heart of palm Passion fruit

How has science helped us find resources? Science has helped us discover many useful things. If we had no science information we would not be able to cure the many diseases in this modern time. It has helped us find minerals which helped us find more minerals and more minerals. We own everything we have find out for science and its awesome power.

Human activities One of the things that affect my biome a lot is tree chopping. When you take down a tree you not only destroy trees but you ruin other lives as well. An example is a bird. A bird hides up in the trees so it does not get captured by wild animals. One of the things that you do when you cut down a tree is make it vulnerable to many animals than the normal ones it watches out for.

How does my biome affect humans? The rainforest is a very dangerous place. When people go there to gather minerals, they might get hurt which will cause some lawsuits. The person in charge and unaware of this will get in trouble and get bad publicity. It will cause him his job and make him lose his job.
