The Brazilian Rain Forest is one of the worlds most valuable resources, it has thousands of medicinal plants and rare animals, not to mention vast amounts of timber. 8. How Resources From the Biome are Used Scientifically Scientists use rare captured animals to study, or experiment on. They use some plants to find cures for many diseases such as cancer.

9. Human Activities The Amazon Rain Forest is full of medicinal plants, rare animals, and timber. 10. Positive Human Impact When (e.g., the government) buy up the land, they buy it from the poor locals who have little or no other income. This is good for the economy. Also, cutting down trees will help build new house for people, make pencils for students etc.

11. Negative Human Impact When (e.g., the government) decide they need more timber, they buy up the land and destroy all the trees. 12. How Can the Problems be Solved? Instead of selling their land, locals can give tours of the Brazilian Rain Forest. After all, who wouldn’t want to see giant trees and amazing animals? Or, locals can sell smaller bit of land to the people (not including government/companies) so the land can be conserved.
