2. Rainforests get an average rainfall of 127cm to 660cm a year. The average temperature is 25 degrees Celsius. It never drops below 18 degrees Celsius and rarely rises above 34 degrees. The average humidity is 77-88%. Rainforests also produce 40% of Earth’s oxygen. There are over seventy-seven tribes that live in the Amazon Rainforest alone and over 30 million species of plants and animals.

5. A lot of water in rainforests, there are few ways to find safe water to drink.. One fourth of the plants are used in medicines. The cinchona tree produces white, yellow and pink fragrant flowers. When the bark is mixed with water or wine, it can cure fevers. The bark extract, also known as quinine extract, can be used to cure malaria. Other plants are used for furniture. The Rattan Palm has longer stems than any other plant in the world. Because of their long stems, they are used to make furniture. Although it should be easy to find good resources to use, it might be hard to stay away from the dangers of the rainforest. Some ants can grow to be 1 inch long, and can paralyze their prey. The vampire bat feeds on blood, and its prey rarely wake up. Its saliva prevents blood from clotting, making the victim would bleed to death. There are trees such as the Gympie-Gympie, whose leaves cause severe skin irritation.

The average high temperatures for the desert biome are about 47 degrees Celsius, while the high temperature for the rain forest biome is 25 degrees Celsius. In the rain forest the temperature never drops below 18 degrees Celsius when the desert biome’s low temperature is about 3 degrees Celsius.

7. Both biomes are full of poisonous animals, such as snakes, scorpions, and lizards in the desert, or snakes, bugs, frogs, and lizards in the rain forest. Some animals are edible, such as rabbits, rats, iguanas, and birds in the desert, or the wild pigs, monkeys, wild turkeys, mice, some types of fish, deer, bugs and a variety of other types of animals in the rain forest. The desert animals are usually brown, to blend in with the desert surroundings while the rainforest animals can be a variety of colors to blend in with their polychrome environment. There are great differences in the animals in the rain forest and the desert biomes.

8. The desert biome contains many plants that can survive in long periods of time without water and can grow in sandy soil. On the other hand the rainforest biome contains many plants that rely on water and the rich fertile soil. Other than cactus flowers, the plants in the desert grow no fruits or flowers, while the rain forest plants can produce many types of fruits and flowers. The flowers in the rainforest rely on rain and are bright and colorful while the cacti flowers in the desert rely on the cacti. Some examples are, the elf owl resides in the cacti for shade during the day in the desert. In the rain forest, many insects rely on the trees for a home for their colonies.

9. In the desert biome, living underground to keep cool during the day, and going out at night to hunt for food and water is the best way to stay cool in the desert. To find water in the desert, go find cacti, like the saguaro cacti, that can grow thirty-three feet tall and can contain gallons of water. To find food in the desert, live by cacti because the animals depend on the cacti water as well. In the rain forest, it is easy to find water because it can have up to 260 inches of rainfall per year. It is also easy to find food in the rain forest because of the variety of fruits such as bananas, mango, apples, tangerines, avocados, pineapples, and many more kinds of fruit. In the rain forest people can build tree houses to live in or live under the roots of emergent trees, or trees with shallow roots that are widely spread out so it can perform as a shelter.
