Results of the questionnaire  The survey presented here involved a number 105 students of Publiczne Gimnazjum in Czarna  This has enabled us to obtain a fairly realistic on the sport.  The age range is between 1997 and The school population

The sample included 53 female students and 52 male Results of the questionnaire

Educating parents of the students The chart shows that in 0 cases students’ mothers do not have any school qualification; 6 have Primary School qualification; 15 have Middle School qualification; 45 have High School diploma; 18 have a Professional Degree and 21 have a University Degree.

Results of the questionnaire Do your parents currently play any sport? As far as mother or fathers practising sport at moment is considered, only 2 fathers are practising football and motor racing. They claimed they are too tired to do any sports after their job. They prefer relaxing to practising any sport. However, many of them were practising other sports in the past. There were: football, boxing, voleyball, swimming, motor racing, badminton, climbing, running, cycling and playing chess

Results of the questionnaire Do you practice physical education at school? Almost all students participate in the physical education classes at school. They have told that physical education classes are as important as the other school subjects. Only 2 students of 103 are exempted.

Results of the questionnaire Do you always participate in the physical education classes? All students participate in physical education regularly, four times during the week; only some pupils don’t participate in classes of the physical education on account of the malaise.

Results of the questionnaire Do you always participate in the physical education class? 101 students of 105 said that physical education has the same importance as other subjects; only 4 students said that others subjects are more important for them than physical education. Why?  Loss of the excess weight.  The pupil is training the body and the mind.  I am learning to overcome own weaknesses  I have fun.  I learn a lot of things.  It is useful to socialize with other people.  It helps me to understand my limits.  These are four hours during the week when I can relax.  It is important for health.

Results of the questionnaire Do you do sport in extra curricular time at school? 28 pupils of 105 are involved in an extra sports activities, organised by the school.

Results of the questionnaire How do you find physical education at school? The students describe physical education as:  nice – 60 students  interesting – 41 students  boring – 4 students

Results of the questionnaire Do you practice sport at a competitive level? Our students don’t practise any sport at a competitive level. Some of them are practising sport not considered as a school subject. They attend to different sport centres or football clubs.

Results of the questionnaire How often do you practice sport? 27 of 105 children are involved in sports at least 3 times a week and practise football; 6 of times a week practise dancing; 9 of 105 three times a week play basketball; 20 of 105 twice a week go swimming; table tennis, volleyball and chess. The students, who practise sports not regularly, there are only 6 of them.

Results of the questionnaire How old were you when you started doing sport? When they started to practise sport 30 students were 5; 6 students 6 years old; 60 students were 7; 9 students tried to do it later.

Results of the questionnaire Who suggested you to start doing sport? 90 students have chosen the sport by themselves; 10 said their families help him or her; only 7 students said no answers

Results of the questionnaire Which are the most important things of doing sport?  Stay physically fit.  Compete with the others.  Stay together with your friends.  Becoming a championship.  Improve the physical apperance.  Enjoying oneself.  Forgeting about your problems.  Relieve anger.  Stay in touch with nature.

Results of the questionnaire Who bring you to sport? The students are brought to the gym or football matches by their parents - 32, but many of them come to these places on foot – 73 (by themselves). Where do you practice sport? They practise in the gym or in the football stadium. They take to go by bike, on foot or by car with their parents. How do you get to the place where you practice sport? They usually get to different sport places mostly on foot, by bike or they parents bring them to these sports places. In case you stopped doing sport, which was the reason? The most important reason is: they don’t have enough time or some of them think it is waste timing.

Results of the questionnaire Most of the students think, they didn’t have any sport situations which made them feel insecure. However four of them described a sport situation where they were hit in the head with a ball. They felt sad, angry, irritated, they felt pain. They also didn’t have any sports situations that feel them nervous or anxious. In summing up, I would like to add that many young students like practising different types of sports. Because they like moving, but in their elder years they complain about luck of time of even that they are too tired to do any sports after their job.
