Residential Housing Program 28 Bed Facility Served 118 Veterans with comprehensive housing & supportive services in 2010 “The most effective programs for homeless and at-risk veterans are community-based, nonprofit, “veterans helping veterans” groups. Programs that seem to work best feature transitional housing with the camaraderie of living in structured, substance- free environments with fellow veterans who are succeeding at bettering themselves”– - National Coalition for Homeless Veterans

T here are more than 37,000 Unemployed Veterans in New York State 15.2 % Unemployment Rate for Veterans who have served since 9/11 - twice as high as NYS’s overall rate

Educational Counseling Services As our newest veterans return from war, many are enrolling in school to take advantage of the educational opportunities offered under the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Area community colleges are the first choice of many veteran students for a number of reasons. Realizing this, Veterans Outreach Center, Nazareth College, and Monroe Community College have entered into a new partnership to better serve our veteran students and their families.
