For more than 130 years, the Red Cross has provided comfort and support to members of the U.S. military and we continue to serve, 24 hours a day, On over 30 installations around the world, including deployment sites In Iraq, Kuwait and Djibouti As well offices in communities across America Red Cross was born on the battlefield (1863, Battle of Solferino)

The American Red Cross is there every step of the way for members of the military, veterans and their families. ENLISTEE VETERAN Get to Know Us Before You Need Us Assure military members and their families that help is always available Information & Referral Services Connect with community resources throughout career Coping with Deployments Prepare families to navigate the separations throughout their ilitary career Global Service Delivery All Red Cross services provided at home and at overseas installations Emergency Services Deliver verified messages during an emergency at home Access to financial assistance and resources Deployment Teams In-Theater Deliver emergency messages Provide on the ground comfort and build morale Military Hospital & Clinic Programs Provide comfort and build morale Enhance therapy programs Reconnection Workshops Build skills for successful reintegration at home, work and in communities VA Hospital Veteran Services Provide information & Referral services Assist with Veteran Appeals Red Cross is always there for members of the military, veterans and their families from the moment they enlist and throughout their lives as veterans The Red Cross has been with you since you joined the military, and will continue to support you.

4 Red Cross Supports You at Home
Red Cross programs and services in hometowns help ease the transition back home for veterans and their families. When faced with needs, Red Cross continues to connect veterans and their families with community support Call Access the Hero Care Mobile App Red Cross volunteers are with you in Veteran Administration (VA) Medical Centers Military and Veteran Caregiver Network Volunteer opportunities help veterans engage back into their community Programs that promote resiliency Red Cross welcomes you home, back to your family and community. We have support to help you. As the Red Cross has done since you joined the military, they continue to be in your communities to help you connect with support and resources when needed. Contact your Red Cross at or the app can be downloaded by searching for American Red Cross in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store for Android or by going to redcross.org/mobileapps.   The Red Cross is with you in Veterans Administration (VA) medical facilities, providing you with care and comfort. The American Red Cross Military and Veteran Caregiver Network is a peer to peer support for all military and veteran caregivers. It provides on line resources and networking opportunities led by peer mentors. And Red Cross can help you get back involved in your community , for we and our community needs you. We encourage you to volunteer to support your fellow military ,veterans and their families in your community. Red Cross programs are designed to support your resiliency, from connecting you with resources, helping you get involved back in your community, provide job skills training such as CPR/FA, Nurses and Dental assistance training, to Reconnection Workshops.

5 Reconnection Workshops
For Adults: Communicating Clearly Relating to Children Identifying Depression Exploring Stress and Trauma Working Through Anger Coping with Deployments For Children: Roger That! Communication Counts Operation 10-4 Confident Coping Available locally Free of charge Reconnection workshops are one – 1 ½ hour workshops, small group (3-12 participants) that focus on a reintegration skill, such as Communicating Clearly, Relating to Children, Identifying depression, Working through Anger, as well as 2 workshops for children - Roger That! Communication Counts and Operation 10-4 Confident Coping - broken into 2 age groups – 8-12 years and years. These workshops were designed to help children and teens learn effective coping and communication skills what are essential when a parent or other family member is deployed and/or has returned from deployment. These workshops are provided by specially trained mental health professionals and are free of charge. Red Cross can offer these workshops where ever they are needed near military installations, in communities across America….and continue to be available to you and your family for as long as they are needed. We could, for example, arrange a workshop on location for your organization, or here at the Chapter office.

6 Mind Body workshops Mind-Body Workshops are meant to help participants develop healthy techniques to: Understand “good” stress Manage unhealthy or chronic stress Connect their bodies with their minds Practice living mindfully rather than on autopilot Learn easy-to-use ways to improve whole-body health in any setting Facilitated by specially trained mental health professionals Free of charge Introduces participants to a variety of techniques, such as breathing and movement, journaling, guided imagery, art / drawing, meditation, etc.
