Body Paragraph Formula Sentence #1: Transition word and topic sentence in your own words. Sentence #2: Explain details about the topic suggested to support topic. Sentence #3: For support, choose evidence to cite/paraphrase. Sentence #4: Explain how the quote supports your topic. Introduction Paragraph The best choice for the new king of Olympus is McDonalus, due to his power of providing food and water can end world hunger. His extensive knowledge of recipes and ingredients can be used to create new super healthy foods. Finally, Mcdonalus can help farmers create better ways to harvest to prevent wasting natural resources. These reasons are just a few that support why Mcdonalus should be the new king of the gods. Use this reason as the TOPIC SENTENCE for Body 1

First paragraph of the body of my essay. First and most importantly, McDonalus should be the new king of the gods because he can end world hunger. With people starving all over the world, the lord of food and drink can really help by using his powers to create food sources. (This is when I would add a citing or text from the book or online resources.) “In 2010, an estimated 7.6 million children — more than 20,000 a day — died from hunger” (11 Facts About Global Hunger). Imagine a way to fix the problem of hungry children. With electing McDonalus as the new ruler of Olympus, the cure for global starvation is within reach. With this idea in mind, it is once again important to note that McDonalus would be a great replacement for Zeus because he could bring an end to world hunger.

REMEMBER The first sentence is your topic. This is in your own words. A piece of cited evidence should relate to and support your topic sentence. Use transition words. Your conclusion sentence is in your own words. There should be at least 5 sentences in each paragraph.
