History and Context Lancashire Shadow Health and wellbeing Board established in February 2012 Agreed membership and function – Understand needs and assets of citizens and communities (through JSNA) – Agree priorities within Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy – Co-ordinate commissioning plans of partners against priorities – Promote integration Decided initial focus was to establish priorities in health and wellbeing strategy Four priority outcomes agreed based on JSNA

History and Context Board mandate to turn the priority areas into action plan Task and finish group to identify evidence based actions to deliver the outcomes and co-ordinate partners’ commissioning plans Emerging evidence through Longer Lives, Francis report, Winterbourne view, and urgent care reviews New County Council administration Opportunity to revisit delivery arrangements Health and wellbeing Board agreed delivery programmes and system in July 2013
